Questions
Before you decide.
The questions we hear most, answered simply. Anything else, write to us and a watchmaker will reply.
Does it need a battery?
No. The automatic movement winds itself with the movement of your wrist. Fully wound, it keeps running for 70 hours, so you can take it off on Friday evening and it is still on time on Monday morning.
Can I swim with it?
Yes. It is water-resistant to 100 metres, which covers swimming and snorkelling. Just make sure the crown is screwed down before you go in. It is not made for scuba diving.
How do I set the time?
Unscrew the crown, pull it out to the second position and turn it. The seconds hand stops while you set it, so you can set the time to the exact second.
Can I change the strap myself?
Yes. Every strap has quick-release pins: slide the small lever and the strap comes off, no tools needed. All straps are 20 mm wide.
How accurate is a mechanical watch?
Each movement is regulated by hand to within −4 to +6 seconds a day. That is a few minutes a month, so most owners simply reset it once in a while.
What if it does not fit?
We size it to your wrist before shipping. If it is still not perfect, the clasp has four micro-adjust positions, and you can send it back within 30 days for a free resize or a full refund.
